Boxing Day

Your humble narrator relaxes at home in between chores

Hello Pop Pickers, gale force winds are still angerly engulfing the area around the dacha here.  I've been relaxing for the most part over the past 3 days and able as a result to engage in watching some movies, namely; Black Christmas (1974), The Wicker Man (1973), Vampire Girl v Frankenstein Girl, Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde, Lady Snowblood (1973), Watchmen, The Lord of The Rings (1978).

I awoke at 9am to lazily enjoy breakfast, and attend to the household chores as is the must.  I took the time to watch some episodes of Doctor Who story The Time Monster from 1972, it's all evil Kronos, evil Queen (played by Ingrid Pitt) and er, a TOMTIT. No, really!

I was later this afternoon to be found drooling at the vilest sorceress in the land, Katie McGrath on BBC HD...evil rules!

My Boxing Day Playlist (the iPod on a setting to kill me softly), gently takes me back to a bitter-sweet moment in time, affectionate yet very sad, une liaison, amour passager.

Sure Know Something - Kiss
Julia- Eurythmics
St. Swithin's Day - Bill Bragg
Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad - Def Leppard
More Than A Feeling - Boston

"The hottest love has the coldest end."

I just noticed scribing Bill instead of Billy Bragg...a hurried slip rather than an intended politeness of address.

A big up to Katie McGrath. Or rather, she gave me a big up.

Vampire Girl v Frankenstein Girl sounded so tasty I just had to order it! A snip at £3.49 from good old Amazon ;D

I sure know something! That's another great playlist! Well apart from Dead Leopard, I never cared for em...

Toast It's a gore-adventure, let me know what you think of it.

I'm not a Leppard fan either, I never bought an album, however, I did purchase the single Have You Ever...on cassette and the tune has stuck to me like an oil slick over the years. Pure AOR kitsch.

VG vs. FG should arrive any day now. I just have to stop myself expecting too much but Japanese girls and horror are a heady combination so I am expecting greatness.

I like a few Dud Leopard songs but never enough to buy them. Maybe I could acquire a best of by nefarious means ;D

FG v VG Pure gore fest, you should turn your attention to Helldriver after that. An amazing abomination if ever there was!

Hell Driver does indeed look like a gore-feast of the first water and I will be getting a copy once finances recover after the festive overkill! Probably about March/April ;D
