It's Thursday!
It's lunch-time at the Factory. It's all Marmite & Cheese sandwiches washed down with mugs of tea...
Dear Readers, I mentioned the other day that I plastered my side of the sibling bedroom as a 9 year old with posters of Glam Rock stars and Bruce Lee as scarred by the evil Han. At this stage of life there was no room for, to use rock parlance, 'chicks'. That came later...
From ever I can remember I have 'desired' Mrs Emma Peel (Diana Rigg). The endless Avengers repeats on the idiot's lantern during my formative years the obvious culprit and the irrefutable fact in later years she reminded me of someone very special.
My early teens led me to Ingrid Pitt in the Hammer Horror classics, and "the iron hand of indurated habit plunged me once again into the mire of my vices".
During my journey through High School and Hawkwind enlightenment I discovered beautiful, celestial the queen, Stacia; a small picture cut from The Sounds or NME pride and place on my teenage bedroom wall.
Then, in during the era of VHS, I was in so captivated by Kaji Meiko 梶 芽衣子 and her stare.
These beautiful women remain my "pin ups", even during this age when your humble narrator really should know better...
So Pop Pickers who are your ultimate pin up choices?
Male or female, animal, vegetable or mineral let's be having you!
Playlist utilised for the morning rush-hour:

In rough chronological order:
The Scarlet Witch from The Avengers comic
Victoria Principal in Dallas
Kate Bush
Winona Ryder
Janine Turner in Northern Exposure
Penelope Cruz
Zooey Deschanel
so yup, I guess I like brunettes!
Thumper - that's a fantastic selection!
Scarlet from The Avengers comics - agreed!
Winona Ryder! Looked absolutely amazing in Alien Resurrection.
And Penelope Cruz gets the thumps up from me!
That movie poster for Volver - wow!
I'm a Generation Xer, Jimmy so I grew up with Winona (Similarly, Johnny Depp is my favourite actor). I remember her being really sexy in Mermaids. So-so film, but she put the yowsers in your pal Thumper's trousers.
And Forget your Catwomans, Elektras and Black Widows, Wanda is the foxiest lady in comics.
I go for men with long hair such as:
Robert Plant
James May (Top Gear)
Scott 'Wino' Weinrich (Saint Vitus)
Rob Flynn (Machine Head)
Pete Steele (Type O Negative) especially for his 'Playgirl' photo shoot
Ian Gillan circa 1970
Bon Scott
David Coverdale (circa early 80s)
I prefer a more rugged tatooed bloke than a 'pretty guy' - Brad Pitt does nothing for me!
My own tastes in women are for the fuller figured gal but as we are talking pin ups, lets start with the queen herself Ms Betty Page! I am a sucker for long dark hair red lipstick, heels, stockings and suspender belts and of course the peephole bra. Sheer underwear does it for me too
Cartoon character would have to be Betty Rubble. Rosie O'Donnell in the live action flick was incredible in an otherwise poor movie. I too have a fondness for Diana Rigg and that 70's musical icon Suzi Quatro, mmmmmm tight leather trousers, although I prefer shiny latex
Another fine playlist young Jim, great to see the often ignored Kiss classic "Magic Touch" in there. Well they are the hottest band in the world!!!
Thumper - and Winona is first rate actress too.
VK - A rugged list indeed.
Never knew Steele was in Playgirl (not that I'm an avid reader of that kind of periodical you understand!)
As for guys with long hair, I'm always jealous of guys who still have hair!
Toast - that kind of selection will give you hairy palms!
That Kiss is great and sits well among the other 'disco' tunes from Dynasty.
Bon Scott has to be the ultimate frontman eh!?
Mine were
Diana Rigg of course, Jean Shrimpton, Helga Sommerfeld, Jane Fonda (Barbarella), BB and even Nancy Sinatra for a while ;-)
Cheryl Ladd in Charlie's Angels was my first true love and she still does it for me.
Though Dr Alice Roberts is as near to perfection as dammit.
Stu - Quite a list!
Only Ms Shrimpton is unfamiliar to me.
Steve - Aye nothing wrong with that pairing (excuse the pun)
