Dear Readers, I'm about to embark on another year of work at the factory. The long shifts, the missed holidays, the indigestion etc. Tomorrow I will heed once more the Morlocks' siren call.
Now then, now then Pop Pickers things I usually avoid are the comments section beneath videos on YouTube, there lurks some of the most vile and ill-educated ever to boot up a computer. I also refrain from indulging in politics apart from the regular haranguing of my local MP in a manner not dissimilar to those aforementioned YouTube intellectuals. Furthermore, I am rarely able to resist the deteriorating but still ample charms of refrigerated Cadbury's Creme Eggs; such a giddy weakness.
And whilst we are partaking in this private parley, nay confession, I must confide that I prefer the soothing sound of classical music when late at night I lay my head down in a stuttering attempt to sleep. I recommend the internet accessible Japanese bite-size radio station Ottava.
Finally, the large mural image above is of very friendly and well-equipped guitar shop I came across, while 'way down Mexico way'.
And so on with the action, I need a fortifying playlist to steel me for tomorrow's commute in to work. To put some fantasy up against the impending dose of reality.
Suspender Love - Scorpions
Comin' Home - Deep Purple
Heart Like A Wheel - Black Sabbath
One Of These Days - Trespass
Death or Glory - Holocaust

New year? New you! Look for another job mate. They do exist even in these bleak Tory times.
Is that the master Iommi I see on your mural-snap? He's still the God of metal guitar and even though he is suffering from cancer still writing for the reformed originals!
Creme Eggs are a much underrated panacea to many of life's myriad ills.
No, Cadbury's Creme Eggs may lead to diabetes, IMHO. Get you Hba1C levels checked. You too Steve.
I didn't know that Iommi is battling cancer :0(
Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery. We've lost too many gifted people in the rock world over the past few years. Its far, far too early to lose another.
Tonny Iommi's cancer was diagnosed quickly so the prognosis is good. They are recording the new album at his home studio. Check out the details at Geezer Butler's home page.

Stu - your advice is welcome, I do get a regular health check via the factory but diabetes is a big hazard for young and old!
Thanks
VK - toast got the details on here first. Yes I hope he has speedy recovery.
Toast - thanks for filling in the detail
