I've been bombed out of the old laptop on account of a Trojan (as opposed to a Greek), so I'm scribing this via the most trusty iPhone
I hope your week is going well Pop Pickers?
I'm due back at the factory on Monday for another season. I miss my mates but I'm sort of feeling a lack of lust for the duties ahead. Still once more unto the breach etc.
I understand that Tony Iommi is battling cancer, get well soon Tony.
My old chum Toast informs me that Gary Glitter is now airing his thoughts on Twitter, whatever the argument about the merits of this are I for one cannot rewrite history Stalinesque, I did have numerous posters on my wall as a nipper, Bruce Lee, Slade, The Sweet, The Glitter Band and aye the Glitter Man himself.
The reason I say this is a mate of mine a few months back was trying to tell me (during a glam rock discussion) that he never was a fan of Glitter. I challenged him as it was patent lie, Blimey I remember his mam making him a Glitter suit out of bacofoil and masking tape one Halloween when we were in primary school!!
I'm attaching a gratuitous Meiko Kaji photo to warm the spirit this cold (and snowy) winter's night in the Dacha.
And things would not go amiss by elevating the mood with my evening playlist while I do battle with the evil Trojan...
Caesar '71 - Sir Lord Baltimore
Heavy Days - 2nd Face Ita-Roh
The Rocker - Thin Lizzy
Princess of the Night - Saxon
Lady of Mars - Dark Star

I'm with you Jimmy. Glam couldn't (and wouldn't) have happened without Rock 'n' Roll Pts. 1 & 2. End of.
word veri: promo
I can remember digging the Gary Glitter sound as a kid. The innocence of youth...
I liked many of Glitters hits and even gave his best of an airing last year and some of the songs still ROCKED!
I find it strange that he will never be played on UK radio ever again while Michael Jackson and Pete Townshend have not been banished for their own paedo escapades. Why is the arch-fiend Gary Glitter treated differently?
On a more positive note! Nice playlist! Lady of Mars is an almost forgotten NWOBHM classic while Princess of the Night remains my all time favourite Saxon song!
John - I think, like my schoolmate, many are denying the past before cockerel crows thrice. I mean - it was rubbish (and I mean it) but even Girlschool had a joint single with the man himself
Steve - his trademark tunes still stand out whatever the sick acts he is now known for.
Toast - Wasn't Townsend only researching??
Eh?OH!
Anyway enough chat about that, incidentally I've just read that it wasn't Glitter on Twitter but some obsessed imposter.
More important do you want more Kaji Meiko pictures?
