Hell is Alive

I have my old chum Mike to thank for alerting me to this 2011 release from those NWOBHM greats, the band Hell are one of those classic bands which are masters of their unholy craft, what a superlative album Human Remains is. It oozes the grand riffery that opitimises NWOBHM, and this band deliver it in spades.

There's not a bad song on this record. I commend it to you all...

RIP Bert Weedon, all those years ago, I learnt to play the guitar from your book - I'd never have managed otherwise !

My list tonight consists solely the sweet abomination of a CD of pure Scandinavian metal made for me by author extraordinaire and all round nice guy Mark Rice (I recommend the debauched devilry of his novel Metallic Dreams to one and all!).

And finally, pulp though it is I'd welcome a night with Peggy Carter (as in Capt. America: First Avenger) all pencil skirt, red lipstick and silk stockings - just oozes 1940s sex appeal (that's the Hayley Atwell character not the Captain!!)...forgive me Dear Readers it's just the bottles of Raven Ale talking!

Oidhche mhath!

The Hell album is pure heaven.

As for pencil skirts, red lipstick and stockings, they are always high fashion as far as I'm concerned but I only wear them on special occasions ;D
