I fell asleep shortly after 10 last night, suffered a restless sleep of bad dreams and worry. I was up at 7am this morning, my wretched frame protested as I gulped down the first assam tea of the day, later it was off to the local library for some browsing and borrowing. Then the necessary evil that are domestic chores had to be done.
I'm feeling knackered lately; emotionally, physically and spiritually. I'm feeling the pressure at work, what with the long hours and difficulties, but it'll pass.
For rest and recreation I happened on MGM HD channel showing Vampire Lovers, it is always nice to watch Ingrid Pitt ...that lady always made me stand up straight...as it were.
I then indulged in viewing the excellent screening (thanks to Sky Arts HD) of Judas Priest: Rising in the East which was filmed at Budokan in 2005. It's bloody brilliant, no really!
It is footage like that which reinforces why Heavy Metal is my religion!
Playlist taken from the CD grinder which sustained me during the past week...with contributions from a certain Mr Mark Rice and The Metal Gods!
Gratitude 666!
I of Crimson Blood - Amorphis
Death and the Healing - Wintersun
You've Got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest
Heavy Metal Mania - Holocaust
The Hollow - A Perfect Circle

Aye, I know what you're thinking: it's about time I started following this wonderful blog, especially as its creator - Jimmy - has been championing my novel since discovering it. If I hadn't written that book, you'd never have reviewed it and tweeted a link to the review, meaning I wouldn't have found my way to your blog, and chances are we'd never have met. Serendipity. I'm glad things happened the way they did. It's one of the magical things that stemmed from years spent in solitude scribbling that story.
I reckon this week's playlist is especially lovely. Then again, I'm bound to be biased...
Sorry to read that you're feeling a bit low Jimmy, sending you some virtual vibes of metallic good-will! :-) \m/
When life is grinding you down it is essential to take your soul food wherever you can find it...!
Another great playlist! Heavy Metal will always see you through the bad times and be there to make the good times fantastic.
I saw The Avengers Assemble 3D yesterday and it blew me away, it is the best Marvel movie so far. You probably wont get the chance to catch the 3D release but it's a great reason to invest in a 3D TV/Blueray player setup. I would if I had the cash ;D
Jimmy, don't despair, the rain will pass. It has to.
At least you got one passion that no one can take away from you. Ever.
In Metal We Trust.
The whole world is feeling downhearted.
Fucking rain..
Think I'm feeling about the same as you are right about now. But, like you say, it will pass.
In the meantime, there's always music to help.
BoxerThai Brother! The follow is much appreciated as is your words of encouragement. Bound in Metal!
VK Thank you kindly, it is comments such as these that serve to enliven my soul. Hope your weekend is going good.

Frank Thank you so much for words of kindness, it will indeed pass and that's what keeps me going forward. We have the sound of Metal to see me through!
Bill It rains here 300 days a here as a rule, and is storm force winds for probably 250 days a year. Still it will soon be sunshine near midnight for a few weeks at least.
OPOC Thanks dear friend, I hope this reply finds you ok and getting through. I get a bit 'war' weary at times but there's always light at the end of the tunnel (however long that tunnel happens to be). As Bruce Lee once said 'push through'.
