As Above So Below

Dear Readers, I'm overdue making mention of this fine album...its classic Metal melodies already permanently branded into my consciousness.

As Above, So Below by Angel Witch is an excellent record. It just seems to get better and better with every listen. Powerful riff-eronics and wizard songs the standouts for your humble narrator are the likes of Witching Hour, Dead Sea Scrolls, Horla* and Brainwashed.

Do you know what As Above... sounds like to me?
As a proper seamless successor to the timeless 1980 debut album. It's really that good. The point I'm trying to make is that this, the record is a perfect example of classic Heavy Metal that is not trying to be anything else. Beautiful.

*(le Horla anyone?)

It is a great album and as you say gets better with each listen. It's not quite as brilliant as their debut though.

Real heavy metal seems to be making a comeback so lets hope the mighty Angel Witch finally get the success they deserve. In my opinion they should be up there with Iron Maiden!

Steve - It is a class follow up album

Anon - you are welcome, enjoy!

Toast - I think it is a great album, and with tracks like the Dead Sea Scrolls. Witching Hour and the subline The Horla I've been riveting my ears with it for the past 3 months!
