I Feel..Crystal Clear

No doubt stimulated by the catalysing bottles of Peroni Gran Reserva and Cosmo's Haggis Pizza for supper after an 11 hour straight stint at work...Your friend and humble narrator had a dream about one of David Cronenberg's landmark movies (and he's had a few) last night, I dreamt I was watching Videodrome in some dingy place like a seedy low-light (read low-life) pub except nobody else was there, and in place of Deborah Harry was Asia Argento inside the pub's TV screen compelling me to accept the Flesh as it were...and willing I was believe me.  However, I don't remember much else because the neighbour's hounds of Hades awoke me from my excited slumber.

Now Videodrome is indeed a most wonderfully crafted film but it is to Scanners that I turned my attention again last night.  Now that film remains one of my favourite films of Mr Cronenberg, it might seem dated to some but look at it and be absorbed into the nightmarish world; you will not regret revisiting its dark tale.  Don't flinch from being scanned, accept the Flesh.

Long Live The Flesh...

Videodrome was his masterpiece but Scanners will always find a place in the pantheon of great pictures.
Even thinking about Scanners makes my head start to throb!

Scrape up my human remains and send my soul straight to HELL!

I'm consulting lawyers over image rights, as no-one told me they would use my "just got up" picture for the cover.

Mr. H - you look invigorated!

Steve - Well, I did have a 20 minute break for coffee and sandwiches and a mug of tea at 11. Not all bad :)
