My old chum Mike claims this album is a 'classic' and he's not wrong, it is another live album to add to your vinyl collection assuming of course you haven't already done so...
Many of the benchmark songs of Saxon's early era are here in their on stage versions such as Heavy Metal Thunder, 747 Strangers In The Night and my favourite Princess of the Night. Saxon are a standout band who continue to deliver, a true Heavy Metal band. The 1982 live album marks the closing of the band's initial days of yore, a blistering opening chapter in their eternal Metal journey.
Need I say more?

Poor Santa must be wondering what to get the man who has everything...!
Mike is right, it does belong in the annals of of classic live abums, and its here in my collection too!
I have been listening to it all week, interspersed with some Judas Priest and Joanna Newsom. Great music never ages it just gets better by the year...and yes, Princess of the Night remains my favourite. The opening riffage never fails to excite!
Steve - I've asked Santa for many things over the years but carnal knowledge of Monica Bellucci has not been forthcoming...
VK - it is a standout live album when Saxon ruled the riffs!
(and given their recent output and live performances - still do!)
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas
Toast - Priest, Saxon...early eighties, a Golden Era!
She's got .... Wheeeeeeeeeeeeels, wheels of steel.
Nuff said.
Happy Holidays, everyone.
